MUSICAL
STYLE

The style of Guillermo McGill is defined by a balanced blend of modern jazz tradition, the rhythmic richness of flamenco and a contemporary approach that expands the expressive possibilities of the drum set. His playing combines precision, musicality and deep listening, creating a language where subtlety, energy and a strong sense of compás coexist. His work with dynamics and textures adds depth to any ensemble.

In his projects, McGill treats the drum kit as an instrument that dialogues with melody and harmony, not just as rhythmic support. His ability to integrate bulerías, Latin‑influenced grooves or open jazz structures results in a versatile and recognizable sound. The outcome is a personal, elegant style full of nuance, connecting with musicians and audiences across different musical worlds.
